Clinical Supervision: Theory Practice Ethics Values
Clinical Supervision: Theory Practice Ethics Values
Clinical Supervision, for me, is a collaborative engagement. I enjoy working with clinicians who are rooted in socially justice minded practice. Who seek to further develop the inculcation of theory and practice imbued with the values and ethics central to the social work profession. With a sociostructurally perspective on social justice, racial equity and addressing anti-black racism, Associates will engage in critical dialogue focused on introspection and client centered practices.
I provide individual supervision for Associates working in an agency based setting. I have experience in public child welfare, private clinical practice, and higher educational instruction. I utilize an integrated practice model focused in the modalities of CBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered Practice.
I am a Washington State approved Licensing Supervisor. I have completed the following requirements to provide supervision for those working towards a clinical license:
Fifteen continuing education credit hours in clinical supervision through the NASW WA with Dr. Marshall Jung in 2022.
Over Twenty-five hours of experience in supervision of clinical practice through my previous role as a Public Child Welfare Services supervisor at DCYF and providing clinical practice consultation and supervision to private practitioners.
I have been a LICSW since 2018 working in various clinical settings including, government agency, Independent Private Practice, clinical consultation, and in university based social work education.
I practice from a reflective practice framework for supervision focused in critical reflection and intersectionality, utilizing reflection-on-action, reflection-in-action, through inculcation of theory and practice.
