Workshops

The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
— B.B. King.

As a Mixed - Black Woman, I can attest to the multidimensionality of living in liminality of racial identity. As people continue to migrate and love one another in the face of bigotry and oppression, Mixed | Multiracial people are becoming the largest populations in the United States.

My offering is rooted in the seminal works of Dr. Maria Root and Dr. Kirsten Renn, the advocacy and cultural challenges of Dr. G. Reginald Daniel, and learning from the ongoing brilliance of many scholars and practitioners such as Dr. Jennifer Noble PhD, Marc P. Johnston-Guerrero, and Charmaine L. Wijeyesinghe.

MWe offer Equity, Inclusion and Belonging educational workshops for clinicians, educators, and community organizations highlighting Mixed | Multiracial experiences of children, youth, families, and adults. Through story telling and presentation of research, MWe share insights as to the lived experience for people of Mixed | Multiracial heritage.

MWe are anti-racist in our approach with person-centered and trauma-informed engagement addressing the concepts and theory of individual and structural Monoracism as a defining element in multiracial experience. Offering an opportunity for monoracial communities to hear and learn about the superpowers of being of Multiracial, MWE provide practice based, culturally relevant considerations for systemic and interpersonal engagement as professionals, community, organizations, and family.

MWe would be honored to share knowledge and to hear questions about the Mixed | Multiracial experience. R|C Previous & Upcoming Offerings are available. MWe are also available to create a session specific to your needs. Please schedule a consultation if you’d like to collaborate to build a community inclusive of the Liminal Spaces of Race in America.
